Dental Hygiene

Portishead, Bristol

With more adult teeth being lost through gum disease rather than tooth decay, regular hygiene treatment is important to help keep your teeth and gums in a healthy condition.

Teeth can develop a hard build-up on the teeth known as tartar or calculus that leads to an accumulation of bacterial plaque which causes tooth decay and gum disease. These build ups are difficult to remove with at home oral hygiene procedure and therefore our hygienists play a crucial role in your dental health by removing deposits and helping to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

Aside from keeping your teeth clean, our hygienists will remove any staining and polish the teeth making them appear brighter and whiter!

You should not rinse your mouth with water or mouth rinse after brushing your teeth as you are just rinsing off the high fluoride amount in toothpaste which has a topical benefit.
