Creating Beautiful Smiles

composite veneers

PORTISHEAD, BRISTOL

Composite resin (white filling material) can be layered onto the front surface of your teeth to improve the appearance and shade of chipped, cracked, and uneven teeth. They are similar to porcelain veneers but they are made of composite.
Veneers have the transformative power to rejuvenate your smile and create your picture perfect teeth – just after one visit!

What is the difference between composite veneers and composite bonding?

Veneers are wrapped over the whole front surface of your teeth (the surface people can see when you smile) whereas composite bonding focuses on the tips of the teeth. If your teeth are well aligned but the tips are chipped and uneven then minimally invasive composite bonding might be an ideal treatment for you. If your teeth are only slightly crooked or need building out then veneers might be able to correct this.
In most cases, direct composite veneers can be completed in a single appointment.

Your Veneer Journey With Us

What to expect during your veneer treatment
As every case is different, you will have an initial consultation appointment where we will spend some time to fully understand your cosmetic wishes and make sure you are suitable for treatment.
We will then carry out a full assessment of your oral health to make sure you are dentally fit before providing you with a bespoke treatment plan detailing all appointments and costs from the outset.
Once treatment has been planned and your bonding appointment scheduled, it is often completed in a single appointment meaning you will walk out with the smile you want on the same day!

Frequently Asked Questions

As we are placing a layer on the teeth, we would expect the composite veneers to remain functional and aesthetic for anywhere from 3-5 years before replacement may be required. However, in some cases, polishing appointments can be carried out to prolong the life of the composite veneers. As with any treatment it is important to maintain good oral hygiene, minimise dark and pigmented foods and drinks to reduce the amount of staining, and of course avoid smoking!

Generally, veneers require two visits: one to shape the teeth and one to cement these natural looking veneers to the teeth. Between visits, your dentist can place attractive provisional veneers to help prevent sensitivity, allow function, and provide a nice smile. These provisional veneers are designed to be in your mouth for a limited time but should be comfortable until your new veneers are completed.
