What are Anti-wrinkle Treatments?

As we age, our skin loses its elasticity and becomes more fragile. Due to a combination of repeated muscle activity, less production of natural protective oils and diminishing fat tissues beneath the skin, our skin becomes looser and develops lines and crevices.
Anti-wrinkle injections provide a non-surgical solution that can help combat and soften these lines.

How does it work?

Anti-wrinkle injections work by the delivery of a substance known as botulinum toxin. This substance when injected directly into the muscle, causes the muscle to freeze thereby reducing muscle contractions and preventing the development of further wrinkles. It also helps smoothen out existing wrinkles.

What happens at an anti-wrinkle appointment?

Following a full assessment and determining that you are suitable for treatment, a numbing cream is applied to the area to be injected which is then thoroughly cleaned. Small injections are administered into the muscle being treated using very fine needles. The pain is minimal and the whole procedure takes a few minutes. No down time is needed, and can resume your day as normal following your appointment.

Dermal Filler Treatment

Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally found product which already exists in our skin. As we age, hyaluronic acid breaks down causing our skin to wrinkle and our face to sag due to tissue loss.
Dermal fillers can help to replenish our skin and fill out the areas where tissue has been lost. One of the great things about filler is that the results are immediate!

How is filler administered?

Following a full assessment and determining that you are suitable for treatment, a numbing cream is applied to the area to be injected which is then thoroughly cleaned. Following this, filler is injected  into the area being treated using very fine needles or cannulas to ensure maximum comfort. Cannulas are blunt tubes which are used instead of needles which helps reduce bruising.

Filler can be placed in most parts of the lower face such as the lips. The treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic to ensure that the procedure is almost pain free! After filler placement, the skin will appear more plump, hydrated and refreshed leading to a more youthful appearance.

Anti-wrinkle FAQs

You may experience very minimal swelling in the injection site, redness, and very rarely bruising.

Results vary from one patient to another, but typically results last for 3-4 months.

Crows feet (eye wrinkles), neck bands (Nefertiti lift), frown lines, bunny lines, forehead wrinkles, sad lines (marrionette lines) to lift downturned lips, hyperhydrosis, dimpled chin, gummy smiles, and can be used to grinding.

Make sure you use the muscles in the hour after treatment to help encourage the quicker uptake of the product.

Don’t:

• Lie down for 4 hours following treatment.

• Do any excessive exercise for 24 hours.

• Apply makeup for 24 hours.

• Rub the area of treatment for 4 hours.

What are skin boosters?

Skin boosters are innovative injectable treatments designed to enhance skin hydration, elasticity, and overall appearance. They typically consist of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that retains moisture and promotes collagen production.
Unlike traditional fillers that add volume, skin boosters work by delivering deep hydration to the skin, improving texture, and providing a subtle glow. They can be used on various areas of the face, neck, and even the hands, making them versatile for achieving youthful, radiant skin.
The treatment involves a series of micro-injections, which are minimally invasive and can be performed in a quick session, often with little to no downtime. Results usually manifest CD gradually, with optimal effects seen over a few weeks, lasting several months. Skin boosters are an excellent option for individuals looking to rejuvenate their appearance and enhance their skin’s health without the need for extensive procedures.

Polynucleotides Biostimulaters

Polynucleotides biostimulators are an exciting advancement in the field of facial aesthetics, offering a natural and effective way to rejuvenate the skin and promote overall skin health. These biostimulants, derived from DNA and RNA, play a crucial role in cellular regeneration and repair, making them an ideal choice for enhancing skin texture and elasticity.
One of the primary benefits of polynucleotides is their ability to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. When injected into the skin, they promote the production of collagen and elastin—two essential proteins that maintain the skin’s firmness and suppleness. This leads to a noticeable improvement in skin tone, texture, and hydration, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The treatment process is minimally invasive, usually involving a series of microinjections tailored to the individual’s needs. Patients can expect a comfortable experience, as topical anesthetics are often used to minimize any discomfort. The results of polynucleotide treatments are gradual, with optimal effects typically becoming apparent over a few weeks as the skin regenerates and revitalizes.
Another significant advantage of polynucleotides is their biocompatibility. As natural components of the body, they are well-tolerated and carry a low risk of adverse reactions. This makes them suitable for a wide range of individuals seeking to enhance their appearance without the need for more invasive procedures.
Polynucleotides can be used on various areas of the face and body, including the neck, décolletage, and hands, making them a versatile option for comprehensive skin rejuvenation. Additionally, they can be combined with other aesthetic treatments, such as fillers and laser therapies, to achieve even more enhanced results.
In summary, polynucleotides biostimulators represent a cutting-edge approach to facial aesthetics, focusing on restoring the skin’s natural vitality and promoting long-lasting improvements. If you’re looking for a way to revitalize your complexion and achieve a more youthful appearance, consider exploring the benefits of polynucleotides with a qualified aesthetic practitioner.
