Dr Karim Abdel-Khalek
Principal Dentist with a special interest in Restorative dentistry, Orthodontics and Endodontics || GDC NO. 230748
Karim graduated in 2012. He is passionate about postgraduate education and in 2014 became a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. In 2015 Karim started his Masters Degree in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at King’s College London completing this with distinction in 2018.
Dr Sarah Najjar
GDP and Facial Aesthetics Practitioner || GDC NO. 267689
Sarah graduated in 2009 before moving to the UK in 2012. Sarah loves dentistry because she is passionate about helping people and improving their wellbeing. As well as offering general dentistry, Sarah has a keen interest in Facial Aesthetics and her philosophy focuses on achieving natural results, helping patients to look fresher but not “done”.
Dr Richard Mears
GDP with a specialist interest in Restorative Dentistry || GDC NO. 176997
Special interest in General Dentistry. Richard qualified from Bristol in 2009 and has been with Combe Road Dental for more than 10 years. Keen on postgraduate education, he is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and is currently completing a Masters degree in Restorative Dentistry from Peninsula University.
Dr Tim Bryant
Dental Implantologist and Oral Surgery || GDC NO. 58017
Tim qualified in 1983 from Guys University London. He has extensive experience in Oral Surgery procedures having spent the first part of his career in the General and Maxillofacial surgery departments in four different UK hospitals.

Alex qualified as a Dental Hygienist from King’s College London in 2009. She is passionate about helping patients improve their oral health and takes pride in her treatment being gentle yet thorough.
Carly Harris

Carly qualified from Cardiff University as a Dental Hygienist over 14 years ago. Carly is passionate about her work and strives to build excellent relationships with patients in order to provide care that is tailored to the individual, helping to make them feel as comfortable as possible.

Jane Haworth
Practice Manager
Jane qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2020 and joined Combe Road Dental Practice as Lead Dental Nurse in September 2022. During her time here, she has developed her knowledge and skills, and has since progressed to the role of Practice Manager.
Shannon Mason
Lead Nurse || GDC NO. 245785
Shannon qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2012. With over a decade of experience, Shannon is excellent at supporting nervous patients chairside and enjoys meeting a variety of different people.
Andrea Hanscombe
Qualified Dental Nurse || GDC. 126375
Andrea qualified as Dental Nurse in 1992 and has been working at Combe Road Dental since October 2021.
Maisy Grey
Trainee Dental Nurse
Maisy recently joined our team as a Trainee Dental Nurse in 2025 and is already proving to be a valuable part of the practice. She is currently working towards her dental nursing qualification, combining hands-on experience in the surgery with her formal training.
Caitlin Berrill
Trainee Dental Nurse
Caitlin is training with us as she works towards her dental nursing qualification. She enjoys being part of the team and loves meeting new patients, making sure they feel comfortable and cared for during their visits. Her enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills makes her an excellent addition to the practice.

Receptionist
Sarah is one of the friendly faces who will welcome you to our practice. With excellent organisation and communication skills, she ensures the front desk runs smoothly and that every patient feels at ease from the moment they arrive.

Receptionist
As part of the team at Combe Road Dental, Freya is here to make every patient feel welcome from the moment they get in touch. She is the friendly voice on the phone and the smiling face at reception, helping patients with everything from booking appointments to answering questions about their visits.

As part of our reception team, Piper is dedicated to making every patient’s experience as smooth and welcoming as possible. She takes pride in providing a friendly first point of contact, whether it’s greeting you at the desk or helping over the phone.

Sophie is our friendly Dental Treatment Coordinator, dedicated to guiding patients through their dental care with care and clarity. She loves helping patients understand their options, feel comfortable, and make confident decisions about their treatment. With her warm approach and attention to detail, Sophie ensures every visit runs smoothly and stress-free.
